This makeup reminds me of Black Swan. Would be perfect for that character. I feel like the makeup would be just as dramatic with or without the contacts. Very simply beautiful.
This makeup looks like it would take forever, but it looks freaking awesome. Very intense without going completely over the top. I dig it.
I started looking at makeup photos and found this one. It seems so simple but has such a big impact! I feel like I could do this. Anyone dare me?
I love everything about this piece by John Galliano. The hair, makeup, gown, accessories, everything about this couture work commands your attention on the runway. Amazing.
Thank you for the music Etta James. You will be missed, but your music will live on forever. Our sassy sister of soul and rock and roll has left us after a rough start she pulled through creating an astounding legacy that she has left behind for all of us to enjoy. You can even hear a song of hers on the radio today ” Good Feeling” by Flo Rida samples her earlier song “Something’s got a hold on me.”
This is a photo of Etta with Beyonce at the Grammy Awards. Over her career Ms. James won a total of 6 Grammys including the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
On January 20th 2012 Ms. Etta James passed away and left us with a lifetimes worth of music and passion for the arts. This is a photo of Ms. James earlier in her career.
Then I found this photograph. I had to post it. The makeup, hair, and costume are all great. What does one do when your face is covered in powder and you start to cry? Nothing really unless your bathroom is nearby. Just deal with it. Work it. Make it happen.
After I was able to stop thinking about the movie and Vogue shoot, I started thinking about the insane hair styles of the period. I love them. They are ridiculous and amazing at the same time. I mean, who wouldn’t want an entire birdcage in their hair? This is a fantastic photo exhibiting just how one gets their hair like this. Halloween anyone?
This is a charming photo done by Annie Leibovitz. Capturing Kirsten Dunst stepping out of her fairy tale carriage in a very couture gown. It’s nice to know that people lived outside their means just as people do now, but sadly, none as poetic. Living a lavish lifestyle to maintain top rank in social groups. Classic.
